Pharrell makes us all very happy!

21st October 2014

In a brand new series of Surprise Surprise Holly celebrates ordinary people who do extraordinary things with heart-warming gifts and dramatic family reunions.

The first episode will see global pop superstar Pharrell Williams give an amazing young lady the surprise of a lifetime.

Lauren Hawke, 21 from Lancashire, is nominating her best friend Holly Addison, 21 from Staffordshire, for the charity fundraising she has done in memory of her father.

Holly's father Gary died in February 2013 from an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer. Holly wanted to raise awareness of her father's condition and she has raised money for The Katherine House Hospice, Cancer Research UK and Brain Tumour Research.

Also on the show, a deserving woman who has touched the hearts of thousands across the world gets a dinner date with Stephen Fry and a special musical performance from Nicole Scherzinger.

Jodi Bickley, 26 from Birmingham, is nominated by her mother Tina Bickley, 54, for writing letters of love and hope to people across the globe.

In 2013, Jodi was diagnosed with M.E., which had a big impact on her physically and emotionally. She went from a busy, fun-loving girl in her early twenties to somebody who couldn't leave the house. She was extremely ill but decided she didn't want to give up and wanted to help other people.

She decided to put her lifelong love of writing to good use and set up a website called 'One Million Lovely Letters'. She invites people to email her with their problems and worries, and she sends them a personal, hand-written letter of support.

Jodi has had an inspirational journey to recovery and tonight gets a very special surprise.

Other surprises in this episode will include: two amazing foster carers who have fostered over 250 children get a special thank you, and a woman who sponsored a boy from Africa through his education meets him for the very first time in an emotional reunion.

Surprise Surprise returns to screens on Wednesday 22nd October, 8pm, on ITV.
