School for Stars return for a second term
Holly and Kelly Willoughby are back with the second installment of their hit children's book series School for Stars with their heroines returning for School for Stars: Second Term at L'Etoile.
It follows on from the success of the series opener School for Stars: First Term at L'Etoile launched in June which is still firmly lodged in the Amazon Top 10 Best Sellers list for Children's School Fiction.
The series aimed at young readers is set at stage school, and follows the lives, friendships and dreams of stardom of the pupils. The sequel follows the latest adventures of twin sisters Mary and Maria Fitzfoster and best friend Pippa as they return for a new term at L'Etoile, the exclusive school for stars.
The launch of their School for Stars series marked a childhood dream come true for sister's Holly and Kelly, with the books combining Holly’s runaway imagination and intimate knowledge of the entertainment industry, with Kelly’s creative mind and love of writing.
“Kelly and I were both a couple of drama queens growing up, always putting on little shows at home for our parents and making up stories together," Holly says. "The lovely experience of actually sitting down and creating L'Etoile, School for Stars has brought back so many 'make-believe' memories for us, which would have otherwise been long forgotten. We hope the readers enjoy the world we have created.”
Kelly adds: “It's been a life-long dream for Holly and I to one day write our own children's story, and to have the opportunity to work this closely as sisters in our thirties, on a project like this, is just so special. Writing L’Etoile has re-awakened the world of friendship and make-believe we shared growing up, for us to now be able to share it with other children. We hope the books are as joyfully received, as they were joyfully written.”
