Starting this week there will be two extra shows on ITV1 on Saturday & Sunday! The two one-hour programmes will feature a round-up of some items shown during the week plus an extra chance to look at viewers’ thoughts and reactions as Phillip & Holly go through some of the comments and messages.

The show kicks off on Saturday (20th) at 1210 while Sunday’s show will start at noon on ITV1.

It was Props Week on Dancing on Ice this weekend, with the skaters seemingly grabbing whatever object lay in their midst to wow the judges with their skill at handling inanimate objects.

Gary Lucy hit us whilst twiddling his rhythm stick, Danniella played sexy secretary with a routine involving an office chair, and Kieron Richardson unleashed his inner (ice) queen with a cover of Freddie Mercury’s ‘The Great Pretender’ complete with crooner’s microphone.

Hayley kept the raindrops from falling with some rather elegant umbrella twirling that proved a little too twee for the judges, but it seemed it was Danny’s orange bowler hat that impressed the panel the least.

Although he was given a last chance in the skate off with Kieron, Danny committed a fatal error by dropping his prop and finishing his routine with a stumble - mistakes that couldn’t have come at a worse time, and ones that saw him eliminated from the competition.

Who will be the next victim of the ice?

Proving she’s nothing if consistent, Hayley Tamaddon wowed the judges with her Bollywood inspired ice dance to the track  Jai Ho from the film Slumdog Millionaire. So impressed were the judges with hers and partner Daniel Whiston’s performance that not only did she get a standing ovation but the Emmerdale resident made DOI history by sweeping the board and scoring the maximum points, 30! Tricky moves the pair incorporated in to their routine included an overhead boxer, a floating genie, and a rotating stag! The fiery performance seemed to melt even Jason Gardiner’s normally frosty demeanour and he exclaimed: “From the minute you stepped out onto that ice you were so in the zone I just knew it was going to be electrifying and it was. I want to thank you tonight for coming out there and giving us probably one of the best performances we have ever seen on the show.”

Dancing to the theme from the film Rocky, a bare-chested Danny Young also impressed the judges, especially Emma who appeared to enjoy the dance a lot and said she felt Danny was now a ‘contender’.

Whilst appearing on This Morning with Boyzone Phil and Holly revealed that Mikey would be skating to his bandmate Ronan Keating’s song When You Say Nothing At All from the film Notting Hill. Busy promoting Boyzone’s new single, Mikey was left with just two days to practice with his partner Mel and this perhaps contributed to the pair exiting the competition. Despite this, Mikey said he felt that he was leaving the show on a high. “This has been such an adventure, and publicly and also personally this has given me a magnificent feeling. I want to thank Stephen up there and all my bandmates”.

Hayley Tamaddon shows no sign of giving up her place at the top of the scoreboard and her performance with partner Daniel Whiston was typically top class - they scored an impressive 26 points. Danny Young was relieved to score 22 after a few weeks of 17s, and it was also a good night for Danniella who performed a ‘County’ themed dance!

Emily Attack got her highest score to date, 18.5 points and performed a tricky helicopter lift with partner Fred but still divided the judges. Karen applauded their performance and described it as ‘challenging’ but Jason wasn’t so keen and commented he still didn’t see much of a performance from Emily. The high score proved to be bitter sweet for the ‘Inbetweeners’ actress as she still found herself in the Skate Off with Danniella. The Ice Panel voted 4-1 in favour of the EastEnders’ actress Danniella, so it was down to tearful Emily to say ‘Goodbye’ to the competition.  The youngest competitor, departed saying, “I’m not just saying this to be cheesy, it’s changed my life literally. My attitude-it’s given me so much discipline. I’ve had the best partner. I’ve made a friend for life. And those guys over there [the rest of the celebs competing in this year's show] I love them all so much.”
