Hi everyone!
Yesterday was the press launch of my latest collection for Very Autumn/Winter 2010 and I am really pleased with how it all turned out. I absolutely love the black peplum dress that I was wearing it’s great to wear to work or to throw on heels with and wear in the evening -it’s the outfit for when you haven’t got time to go home and get changed- just the perfect black dress really. The coat is just so cute, you can put that over everything and there are also the brilliant black velvet shoes with sparkle on the heel which will be great for Christmas. I’m really proud of it all.
So, in September it will be a year since I started on This Morning and I can hardly believe it. I was talking to Phil about this the other day and just saying how quickly the year has gone. It’s been much calmer than last year and it’s so nice to feel settled and like I have really bedded in. No day is ever the same and there is always something bonkers going on which probably helps… it’s been a great year! I’ve got used to working 4 mornings a week and then coming home and spending time with Harry. So when you don’t see me I’m going to Monkey Music or taking him swimming, and balancing work and being a mum; and finally I feel like I have got that balance just right.
I cannot wait to do the Inca Trail later in the year. We studied the Aztecs and Incas when I was at school and I have always been fascinated by that part of history. I have never been to South America and my sister’s best friend at school was Peruvian, so I can’t believe I get to go, it’s an incredible opportunity. And of course Breast Cancer Care is an amazing charity, a really important cause to raise money for and I am so thankful that I haven’t been affected by it in my own personal life but want to do what I can to help those who have. I was speaking to Fearne about training for it the other day and she assured me that I wouldn’t have to go running or anything but that a walk around the park 3 times a week should do. I wasn’t too worried as I often take Harry out in the pram however she then went on to reveal it takes about 3 hours to get round once! I may as well walk to Peru! I think her idea of light exercise is my idea of hell but running around after Harry will be a good start for me!
