Holly Willoughby

We were pretty surprised to find out that Holly is a big fan of the Agatha Christie character, Miss Marple. Her admiration for the ageing crime solver is so huge that it’s actually been her life time ambition to star in an episode, so in true “Jim’ll Fix It” fashion, the This Morning team organised a very special birthday present this year. On a dark, cold night recently Holly shot her part in the forthcoming film ‘The Pale Horse’ where she stars as Goody Carne, a 17^th Century witch who pops up when Miss Marple attends a ritual ‘burning’ in her memory.  Holly said, “It’s been a lifelong ambition for me to appear in one of the Marple films as I’ve been a fan for years. I had an amazing time and felt very welcomed by everyone on set, especially Julia McKenzie, who kindly lent me her handwarmers on our cold night shoot.” Other famous faces you can watch out for in the film are Neighbours star Holly Valance, Nicholas Parsons and Sarah Alexander from the comedy series ‘Coupling’. 

The This Morning production team surprised Holly with the guest part and she said “I’m so grateful to everyone who made this possible for me.”
