Week 6 Dancing On Ice Round Up

It was case of ‘Hasta Manana’ Hilary on Sunday, as the good Doctor was the latest star to be ’struck off’ Dancing on Ice. Despite showing improvements, and putting in his finest performance yet in the skate off between him and Danny - Hilary just couldn’t reach the same skating standard set by the other celebrities, and it was down to judge Emma Bunton to summarise the feeling held by the whole panel: Hilary, I love you - but I just don’t think this competition can really start while you’re still here…”

Elsewhere, there was a whole lot o’love in the air as Sunday’s show fell on the most romantic (and dare we say…cheesiest?) day of the year: Valentine’s Day. Ballad after ballad rang out as the skaters did their best to capture the loved-up mood of the nation with loved up performances that they hoped would capture the judge’s hearts.

Predictably, the soppy stuff didn’t hook Jason Gardiner for one second, as he took Gary Lucy apart for not showing the same ’spark’ of his professional partner Maria Filippov.

Danniella had better luck however, as her performance drew praise from the panel and saw her labelled the ‘dark horse’ of the competition.  And it was Sharron Davies who managed to buck tradition by sporting the dreaded color pink and NOT being subject to the Skate Off.

So, will the love continue next week, or will the judges’ collective hearts have iced over?
