Holly’s Fondue Recipe!
I worked as an au pair in Switzerland when I was 17 and learnt how to make a meat fondue- it’s cooked in a yummy beef stock, no oil here!
1. You cook onions and garlic in a lot of red wine, add about 2 pints of good beef stock and some mushrooms. Cut beef/chicken in to really thin strips.
2. Then, dip the meat in the hot stock, and have loads of yummy dips of your choice, at the end add thin rice noodles to the stock….
3. Leave to cook on the flame for about 10 mins and then everyone ends with a lovely bowl of noodle soup made with the best tasting stock…x

mmm sounds divine, with the weather like it is here in Ireland, now a good reason to go and buy a new fondue set, had one years ago. xxx

My friends and I all ended up as drunk as skunks. Maybe I didn’t cook the wine out enough? Not really a complaint…it was a good evening!

Love it! I’m from Switzerland myself so anything with the word fondue in it and I’m in :-)) I assume you made ‘Fondue Chinoise’ as the French dish ‘Fondue Bourguignonne’ is actually made with horse meat!!
Where did you work in Switzerland?
