X Factor Makeover
We know Simon Cowell likes to mix things up on his TV shows from time to time so it comes as no surprise to hear that X Factor is about to undergo a bit of a makeover.
Appearing on GMTV this morning, Simon revealed his plans to adapt the way the audition process works and you could be involved too. Interested? Well, read on…
“Last week I decided we’re going to change the way we do the auditions and do them in front of a live audience for the first time in all the years I’ve been doing these music shows.
I’d like people to turn up and watch the audition process and to do what I do for a living - be a judge. The venues will hold up to 2,000 people per sitting in the audience, so around 4,000 a day will watch the auditions. The average audience for Britain’s Got Talent is 800-1000, so it’s going to be a much bigger experience.”
The auditions are about to begin and you’ll be able to catch all the action with Dermot plus Holly on the Xtra Factor later on in the year.
So, if you feel like stepping in to the shoes of Simon, Cheryl, Dannii and Louis for the day, check out www.applausetore.com for tickets.

hi my names jess and id like to say that im not to sure about this because it has both its bad points and good. i am currently 15 and would like to apply for x factor next year but im still not sure what happens at the auditions. if you could please get back to me asap and give me as much information as possible thanks x

thats such a good idea because if they cant sing at the audition in front of all of those people, then they can’t sing at the live shows. Its a bit like Britains Got Talent… cool! i like it.

I tried to get 2 tickets through applausestore .com but they won’t let you know until 2 weeks before…so if you wanted the london venue (which is what I wanted) you were basically screwed, chewed and bar-b-qued!!!
Please excuse the language…but having just been put through an exercise in futility…you can kind of understand.

Claire and Josie think this idea is lush

I Like the Idea a lot because it makes people take it more seriously as they’ll not only get told by the judges whether they have talent or not but there is also there is the possibility of getting booed by a huge audience. This, in my opinion is worse because loads of people say that simon cowell was being cruel when they don’t get through but they can’t say it was biased if 2000 people agree!

I don’t think it is a good idea because of the added pressure to the auditionees. It will completely change the entire fate of the auditionee and will, if possible, make them more nervous than ever before. I think that they should keep the original format for the show and not do that for “The X Factor”. Britain’s Got Talent is where they should keep that “audition in front of a live audience” scenario. Never change the format for the singing competitions.

Hi, I think this is a really good idea and it will make the audience feel even closer to the auditiones from the start. I have applied for tickets for Birmingham so hopefully I have got them. But anyways I still think it’s a really good idea!! Can’t wait!!xxxxxx
