All Change!
Well, long time no blog! Life couldn’t have changed more since I last wrote and it couldn’t get much better either. The early arrival of Harry has been just wonderful and I’ve spent the last four weeks staring at him, he is and I’m sure all mums say the same, the most handsome little man on this planet! He’s already in a four-hourly feeding routine and only wakes once for a feed in the night… so really can’t complain at all. Dan has been just wonderful and has become quite the chef/cleaner/handyman/general go getter and chief nappy changer! The visitors seem to never end and luckily neither has my desire to show Harry off.
I’ve posted pics of me from my baby shower; it’s really strange seeing myself with a bump already. Can’t believe Harry fit in there! The baby shower was at the Met Bar in London, and me and all my girl friends spent the afternoon tucking into cupcakes decorated with little blue booties and bottles… too cute. We really did cut it fine though when you think Harry arrived 48 hours later! I’d like to thank the Met as well for gifting me some goodies from their Como Shambhala spa… the invigorate balm …my fave!
Anyway, this week the X Factor auditions started in Glasgow and I hear they all went very well; Dermot rang to say he was missing me and I have to say I really missed not being there too. Harry and I are going to spend the rest of the week packing for our first day back at work next week when the X Factor auditions are in Birmingham! Note to self…must remember to pack a tiny pair of ear plugs for Harry!

my son was just 2 his birthday was the 20th of may and i still find myself watching him in wonder that such a perfect little person could have been made from me and my husband so i totally understand the way you feel. and im sure he will give you lots of smiles just like our son does us.
wish id thought about a baby shower good excuse to eat lots and gossip for an afternoon lol.xx

Glad to see you back. Glad that Harry has settled in nicely. It’s great for first time parents to have a baby that slides right into a schedule…it’s a real mummy and daddy confidence booster. Hope that your first day back at work isn’t too hectic. And Harry will most definitely get a lot of oohs and aahs from everyone.

Hi Holly congrats to you and Dan on baby harry im sure hes gorgeous, my nephew was one on the 3rd of may and he is also harry..’harry david’ and he is a pet i love the name it means ‘home ruler’ and our harry is certainly that! and my partners name is james..meaning ’supplanter’ so as you can see i love both names, for our baby i am going to use ‘henry james’ i think it has a nice ring to it and i cant use harry for we already have our little harry…har! i love the name . so best of luck to both of you, take care and we love your brill,

Just wanted to congratulate you on the birth of Harry and to say thankyou for the interview saying you’re not worrying about losing weight because you’re breastfeeding. Wish more celebs would come out with sensible quotes like this!! Nice positive breastfeeding story!
ps, don’t worry if he doesn’t stick to a 4-hr routine, don’t know many b-fed babies who do!! (I come accross loads in my work as a breastfeeding peer supporter)
