Nest Eggs!
This week things have been blissfully quiet. I started the week down at the Loose Women studio chatting about the Kitten Factor campaign I am currently involved with. Go to www.catslikefelix.co.uk/mischief to enter and raise money for Cats Protection. The women were all really great and it was lovely to see Coleen again. I think it’s the first time I’ve see her relaxed and not head-to-toe in sequins for about six months!
The nesting instinct has seriously kicked in and this week I’ve been folding and refolding muslin cloths, bibs and baby grows. I’ve also packed my bag for the hospital and set it by the front door just in case. There are so many things to think about, but I think I’m almost there. Just need to make sure the camera’s fully charged and treat myself to a pair of new slippers. Believe me, when you’re preggers new slippers are the closest thing to new heels!
I can’t decide whether being so heavily pregnant over the Easter weekend has been a complete stroke of genius or a complete nightmare! I have eaten so much egg shaped chocolate I’m beginning to wonder if that’s what I’ll end up giving birth too! Dan and I spent the weekend in Brighton at my folks; we had Easter egg hunts and indulged ourselves in Britain’s Got Talent which I love! So got my eye on Flawless to be in the final.
Tonight I’m in studio filming Celebrity Juice and we see the return of Craiiig David! Rafe from last year’s Apprentice is in ‘Eat’ Mag and Biggins is on the panel, that’s a winning combination if ever I’ve seen one. Can’t wait, only hope I don’t laugh myself into an early labour… still got my bag packed!
Have a great week xxx

Holly, when I was nesting, I washed all the baby’s clothes and took photos of them hanging on the line. How sad is that?
My friend says she always knew when she was about to give birth because she got this uncontrollable urge to hoover her garage.
And don’t worry about the chocolate - apparently it’s very good for both you and the baby.

Hi Holly,
glad to hear u are prepared with your hospital bag at the door. unfortunatley i was alot less prepared and when i went into labour 4 weeks early i went to hospital with all things for the baby and just a night shirt and towel for myself. lord only knows what i thought i was going to wash with or wear home. that was 11 months ago and i cant believe how fast it has gone. good luck with everything and cherish evry single moment x x

ditch the digital camera for your labour pictures and buy a good quality disposable one….that way you can’t flick through the photos and delete any, which you may regret doing later on when your babys a few months old. i used a disposable camera for my 2nd daughters birth and admittedly some of the photos are a bit graphic (no rude ones though) they are saved for private viewing only and obviously not shown to family or friends. they are some of the best photos i now have….so natural, no silly poseing

Hi, I’ve just joined Twitter and that’s where I got this link, there’s so many bogus fake sights that you never know if they’re the real person or not so it’s good to come across a real one! I had my son Ashton-Michael almost 9months ago now and just love being a mummy!! Labour is NOT that bad. (I’d take labour over teething anyday!!)
xx
Best of luck x I’m sure you’ll be a natural

Last few weeks with the bump. Good times :)Enjoy every minute, especially the lie in’s, ohhh how I miss those! My baby Charlie is 6 months now and it truly is the most amazing thing in the world! Coming from a previously career focused stylist that is a bloomin miracle! Good luck with everything, though you wont need it and savour the whole experience- exciting few weeks, and years lie ahead! Take Care, Kate.x
p.s: loving to new maternity range- thank you!
